FRAUD ALERT: STAY FAR AWAY FROM HOMESMART AND ***FRED LEWIS*** I was looking at rather expensive homes with a ***Fred Lewis*** of HomeSmart, who bragged during showings that he hid all of his income and assets so he never paid taxes. I made a very solid offer and the sellers came back with a counter-offer at list price. ***Fraudulent Fred Lewis*** told me in writing that he would return me $3,000 after closing (his commission was around $14,000), if I agreed to the higher, list price. I reluctantly said OK, and when he arrived with the contract, he said "Do this my way, trust me", and proceeded to tell me to offer another $1,000 over what the sellers had already countered, and that he would also rebate me that additional amount, for a total rebate of $4,000. ***Fraudulent Fred Lewis*** left town when he was responsible to give me the key to my home, then kept saying he was very sick. I finally texted that I needed the $4,000, and he wrote me a long, fraudulently worded E-mail which agreed with the $4,000, but explained that it was his option. I finally asked for the name of his Broker, and he replied by text that I was harassing him and to cease contact. Sure, dude, after you've defrauded me royally and gotten an easy $14,000, suddenly I'm in the wrong, NOT! Calls to the broker were never returned, and the lawsuit for Tortious Interference with Contract, Fraud, Breach of Contract, Violation of Fiduciary Duties, and Unclean Hands is about to be filed, for massive damages.
Jeff Milbrandt is a knowledgeable REALTOR© (a former Appraiser), very conscientious, and a great guy to have represent you, here in the competitive housing market of Greater Palm Springs and the surrounding Coachella Valley.
Sellers beware!! Not all the realtors in this office are bad. But a few have this habit of dropping the ball and they even admit it. Would I ever go with this company in PAlm Springs or Home Smart in Phoenix NO
