Title: Complaint Regarding Unprofessional Representation by Kimberely Kelly, Real Estate Agent in La Quinta I am writing to share my disappointing experience with Kimberely Kelly, a real estate agent and broker in La Quinta, in the hopes that others will avoid similar issues. My partner and I found a property ourselves on Zillow and, after attending the open house, agreed to work with Kimberely to purchase it. From the outset, Kimberely was reluctant to write an offer at the price we were comfortable with and insisted on including the furniture as a separate cash offer. She did not prepare a counteroffer for our review and failed to properly complete the paperwork required by the California Real Estate Board. Instead, she tried to pressure us with comments like, “If you look at what you are paying at $820,000 just for the house, it’s a deal… Then you are getting furniture thrown in… plus a good location for the property, and the rental setup. We have only been listed 40 days. Average DOM is 65 right now, and we’ll do a price reduction this next week if we can’t put this together, now that I know she’ll take so much less!” This approach felt like an attempt to scare us into accepting her terms as a dual agent and was highly unprofessional. Kimberely also agreed to accept a reduced commission to benefit the seller’s proceeds, despite La Quinta Cove's record listings and a slow market. Having purchased over 30 properties between us, my partner and I can say with certainty that this was the worst representation we have ever encountered. We have extensive email and text documentation to support our claims. To make matters worse, Kimberely failed to include the pool in the home warranty plan, leaving repairs uncovered. When we brought this to the broker’s attention, we were told it was our responsibility to catch her mistake in the insurance policy. As a closing gift, Kimberely spent $200 on two used loungers with blue cushions that stained clothes and skin, and we had to throw them away. Repeated attempts to contact Kimberely via text about these issues have gone unanswered, further demonstrating her lack of professionalism and responsibility. I am forwarding this complaint to the California Real Estate Board and will be pursuing reimbursement through small claims court. In summary, I cannot recommend Kimberely Kelly. Our experience was frustrating and costly. Don’t waste your time—work with someone who values their clients and provides the professional service you deserve.

Kim is an amazing agent! She and her assistant Brandon took excellent care of me both in selling my home and purchasing another. She gave me wise advice in both transactions, making sure I was protected, comfortable and at peace (I was very nervous). She and Brandon went to great efforts to show my home beautifully and helped me make the right decisions which enabled me to get the best price and conditions, with as little stress as possible. It was a very successful sale! When I purchased my next home she made sure I was going into the environment that suited my physical and emotional needs and fought for me to win the offer against other competitors. I love my new "forever" home. Kim, in all ways, met my needs and wants. Highly recommended. You will be very happy!

My husband and I have bought and sold multiple homes using Kim as our realtor. How can you NOT give her a five star review? Her knowledge of the Coachella Valley real estate market is unparallelel. Additionally, her contract negotiation skills are brilliant! We would recommend Kim without any reservations!
