Mimi and Jon were wonderful to work with when we sold our townhouse in Santa Monica. From the very start they were 100% involved and incredibly responsive. This personalized attention to every detail was so appreciated, especially when we hit some obstacles during the process. Mimi and Jon remained calm and encouraging, and shepherded us through what was a stressful time. Not only do they have a deep knowledge of the market, but they are the warmest, nicest people. We relied on them every step of the way and we were so grateful for their advice, experience and support. (The only one who may have loved them more is our dog, who eagerly waited for Mimi and Jon to arrive to set up for open houses!) The Torp team goes above and beyond, and I highly recommend them.

23 years ago Mimi and Jon helped me purchase my very first house. My experience was so positive that I decided to reach out when I decided to sell that same house. I sent an email and they immediately responded with a phone call. A walk thru was scheduled for the next day. They made a few suggestions and I contacted them once I was ready to list it. A few days later, they hosted an open house and we were off and running. They stayed in close contact with updates. When things got a little wonky with the brief market meltdown, they remained encouraging. They are both so incredibly calm and I could tell they have been through lots of market craziness over the years. Based on conversations we had after showings and open houses, I know they were protective of me, and stood firm with various developers who were haggling with them over the price. First open house was 3/22/2025 and the house closed on 5/8/2025. My experience was super smooth, and I am beyond grateful for the experience, knowledge, support and care I received from Mimi and Jon. Mimi and Jon were recommended to us by many of my partner's colleagues, and they have a well-deserved reputation as being absolutely wonderful to work with. This was my first time buying a home and I have to say that Mimi and Jon made the process go as smooth as possible. They are among the most thoughtful and kind people I have met in my life - the kind of folks you'd hope to have on your side (and particularly in an area that can be challenging and complex). Mimi and Jon were always excellent advocates for us throughout the purchasing process. If it's any indication of how much they were looking out for us, here's a quick story. Our new building has an electric garage gate. Jon had raised a question while we were in escrow about whether the gate has a feature that allows it to open with a key in the event of an earthquake or other power outage. After the sale closed, Mimi and Jon stopped by with some very thoughtful gifts and to check in on us. Although it had slipped off OUR radar, Jon gently reminded us about the garage issue again - Don't worry, Jon, we will find out! We are incredibly grateful for their work and support.
