Stay away! we noted a Zillow listing by Yolanda (Micky) Peterson for 4535 Ironwood Ln, onyx summit with septic tank. We made an offer and it was accepted. Eric Peterson, Micky’s husband, who worked on the cabin reassured us that roof and floor/studs are good. Eric was supposed to meet us for inspection, but never showed up. while signing escrow papers, we hired an inspector for 500$. Inspection showed many issues with floor/studs as well as the roof. Inspection also noted only an outhouse. But Yolanda Micky insisted that she would do septic inspection. It turns out that there is no septic tank. We noticed the Zillow listing change to holding tank. Micky said it’s a holding tank. Meanwhile, we are being pressured to finish escrow signatures. Finally we found out that it’s an out house. Listing changed twice and is deceptive. we were mislead into paying 500$ inspection fee. Luckily we did not enter escrow nor paid the deposit. we asked for 500$ reimbursement; however, they refused. Do not trust them. They will use deceptive techniques. Even if not intentional, it’s still neglect and misrepresentation by agent. Update: I reached out to mark like he asked; Even though he was cced in all emails, Just so he can ask me for files that him and his agents already have. Both seller and buyer agents work for mark and he’s asking me for their documents. Must be a joke! . Not helpful at all so far. Only making matters worse. Final update: as expected from a less than reputable crew, mark refused to reimburse the inspection fee with a million excuses; forgetting that the only reason why we started the process is that we thought property had septic. Yolanda lied. If we knew it’s an outhouse, I would not pay for an inspection nor would be interested. These guys are a joke.
Our agent called Mr Dolan Wednesday afternoon to see about us viewing a property in Castle Glen, as we were in the area and fell in love with it. Mr Dolan let our agent know he’d have to come with us to see the property, despite him being two hours away. We totally understood, and our agent made the drive the next am as we were ready to make an offer sight unseen at that point, and we extended our stay at big bear to allow us to see the property on Thursday. Unfortunately, Mr Dolan did not inform our agent that they accepted a contingent offer on Wednesday night, instead his assistant called our agent Thursday after he had already arrived in Big Bear. Mr Dolan allowed us to still see the property, and we informed him that we would’ve made a full price offer, and to talk with our agent. Our agent drafted an offer to be submitted as a backup (since the house was under a contingent contract), and called Mr Dolan to discuss it. Dolan has refused to call him back. I would never use this agent, nor would I buy a home that he has listed. Horribly unprofessional and wasted our and our agent’s time.
You can't give less than 1 star but what a poorly run and managed company. Agent doesn't communicate, and broker is childlike in his response. Was already reaching out to their client to see how to proceed. Shameful company. Go anywhere else.
