Working with Karla was amazing. She's friendly, easy to talk to, and clearly passionate about her profession. She worked super hard to get me a good price and everything I wanted in my first home. She's very responsive over the phone and text for any questions you might have. I had also never been through the escrow process before, and Karla made it seem easy. She handled most communication with the escrow company, set up the inspection, and helped field any questions I had for the former owner of the property. Anytime I had an issue with docusign, confusion about escrow, or getting a reply from the escrow company, she was able to resolve it 12 to 36 hours. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Karla Zelaya has zero integrity as far as I am concerned! I had the unfortunate experience of staying at one of her rental properties and she does a very poor job of managing it properly. She hides behind the name Host LA, which leads her to believe she has complete anonymity and free rein to be rude and condescending to her guests. She will attack anyone who calls her out on her poor management skills even though she constantly lies, shifts blames and often tries to belittle her guests who take up issue with legitimate concerns about their less than stellar experiences. People spend their hard earned money to stay at her properties and when reoccurring issues are brought up, she will make numerous excuses and take absolutely zero responsibility for the lack of maintenance and proper care at said property. She will say things like the pool or jacuzzi was cleaned when it clearly wasn’t and it's just constant lip service from her. I would never stay in any of her properties again, let alone trust her to do a competent real estate deal. She hides behind a business name, so she doesn’t have to take ownership of her incredibly rude behavior. What does that say about someone? It’s shady, which is just a reflection of her as a human being. I recommend staying far away from someone who does business like this!

I feel like we put Karla through some hoops! We wanted a particular type of house. I was nervous about selling in this market before we had another place to live, and she took it all in stride. She negotiated an excellent price for the house we were selling. We initially got told no on the house we wound up buying, but she developed such a good relationship with the seller's agent that when their deal fell apart, they came to us next, and we were able to buy the house we fell in love with! She was patient, knowledgeable, kind, and a pleasure to work with. Buying and selling a home is stressful. She made it less so for sure.
