This place did my grandma so dirty! I was up north handling the death of a family member. My grandma had a maintenance issue. Took 4 weeks to get her fridge fixed. Not cause of the part. We called home Depot and Lowe's they both had the part. Cheap ones too! Then they tell her , her rent must be in by the 15th. Then the new lady decided to change it again to the 10th. I hate leaving such a negative review but everyone must be aware, “manager” Amelia is truthfully the most challenging and deceiving “landlords” I’ve ever witnessed. The amount of hurt in her heart must be so great considering how she treats and communicates with her renters, and for that, I truthfully feel sorry for her. She will take advantage of you, ignore you when it’s convenient for her, and even break the law to get her way and make a point. Stay away from the Griswold group and Amelia, if you read this, please take care of yourself. I am sorry for your hurt but please, stop taking it out on your renters.

I would like to acknowledge, thank and commend Marissa Kendall, Resident Manager of Sussex Gardens Apartments in Imperial Beach because ever since she has began managing Sussex Gardens, the entire property/premises has improved significantly from aesthetics (we now have beautiful photos/decor in our Recreation Room—Marissa has such good taste, we also now have beautiful planters with beautiful flowers to name a few) to functional facilities (I reported that our balcony and the guardrail on our balcony needed repairs and Marissa got it repaired in record time). I am 54 years old and have rented at many properties and Marissa Kendall is the absolute BEST property manager EVER! Her organization skills, knowledge, utmost customer service are noteworthy and her responsiveness/efforts are commendable. Marissa Kendall is the GREATEST!
