When I listed my house, we interviewed 4 realtors and chose Daniel Greer for these reasons: 1. Daniel suggested the highest likely selling price. I think it was $1.15 million. That may not be accurate, but it’s close. The 3 other agents suggested lower prices. 2. Daniel is a very good salesman and offered services: a. A professional photographer to create a very beautiful sales pamphlet. It was very nice. b. He paid for a professional to stage our house (this means the staging professional would provide furniture to fill in the holes of the furniture that my ex took, etc.). c. He offered to host a gathering for other real estate agents to come see the house. I’m not sure what it’s called but basically other real estate agents go on this tour of new houses to get familiar with what is available for their clients. Daniel provided snacks for the realtors representing buyers. Here is what actually happened. 1. The house sold at $850K - the selling price suggested by the other agents. $250K below Daniel’s proposed price. 2. When the house didn’t sell as quickly as Daniel expected (just 1 month), he threatened to remove the staging (furniture) unless I agreed to a lower price. 3. Daniel entered a pleading (legal document) in my divorce case to disparage me and encourage me to sell at a lower price. Of course, this hurt my position in my divorce case. This is a legal document available from the San Diego Court. 4. You do not want to hire an agent who will promise something nice, then threaten to take it away. And definitely not someone who will file a pleading in court. All to threaten me to accept a lower sale price. I have sent this review to Daniel Greer before publication so that he has an opportunity to clarify any issues. This transaction happened 20 years ago. He had the opportunity to disagree, but did not offer any disagreements, because it is all true.
Good morning Daniel and Chris, As we are living and reflecting in our new rental home in Del Mar, We would like to take this opportunity to thank both you and Chris Woolwine for your tremendous effort in helping us sell our house on Rancho Toyon in Del Mar Mesa. Daniel, you had help us sell our house previously in Seabreeze Farm 16 years ago at the price we were expecting within a short period time and helped us purchase a new home in Del Mar Mesa. Now our kids are grown and are no longer living with us, we needed to downsize and have decided to sell our house. This time when we met both you and Chris at the beginning,we felt very comfortable that we are in good hands, again. Yours and Chris’ integrity and honesty had given us the real picture and expectation of the housing market in Carmel Valley and Del Mar Mesa areas. We realized that our pricing for our house only catered to a very small segment of buyers. You and Chris were able to bring in a lot of potential buyers and were able to sell the house within 40 days. This is due to your tremendous marketing expertise and staging the house. The closing process was also extremely smooth. Both my wife, Lise, and I would highly recommend your service to any friends or relative without any hesitations. Again we would like to thank you both and are very grateful for your help. Please, keep in touch and hope we can work together again. Sincerely, The Giap’s Brandon, Lisa, Isabelle , Christian, and Elizabeth
