My wife and I worked with Michael on our condo search and he did an outstanding job. Not only is he very knowledgeable of River North, Streeterville, Lincoln Park, the Loop and the Gold Coast, Michael is intimately knowledgeable of the individual buildings/properties in these neighborhoods. At our first meeting, he drove us around several areas for an hour to get a feel of what each neighborhood had to offer. He listened to our needs/requirements and helped us narrow our search. Not only does he sign you up to receive listings, Michael will sort through the individual listings and highlight selected properties that he thinks align with what you're looking for as a buyer. When we found the unit we were looking for, Michael was scheduled to be out of the country on vacation the following week. Even though he was out of the country, he stayed in touch with us and encouraged us to contact him if we had any questions or needed anything. Michael's assistant (Alicia De La Pena) also did a great in helping to coordinate things and she too was very responsive to our needs. I highly recommend Michael. He's extremely knowledgeable about the Chicago real estate market, he's very patient and a great listener and was extremely responsive to our needs. My wife and I are extremely satisfied and working with Michael was a great experience.

Michael recently helped me find new renters for my condo in River North and I can't believe how easy and effortless the experience was. I live in New York, and traveling back and forth to show the place myself was just not an option. So when my previous tenants moved out, I hired Michael to lease out the condo. I have worked with many different brokers over the years, and have never been as impressed with anyone as I have been with Michael. I hired Michael in late October of 2016, when the market wasn't doing so great. I had already had the property on the market for several months at that point. I have a brokers license, so I initially tried to sell it myself last spring. After a few months on my own, I hired a friend to give it a shot. That didn't work either, so I wound up hiring Michael for his intimate knowledge of the landscape. He had sold another unit in my building previously and everything I had heard from that experience sounded positive. Even though the market wasn't doing well when I started working with Michael, he convinced me to be patient and was attentive to all my needs throughout our work together. He called me after every showing and kept me updated on all the local real estate trends. He also made a few aesthetic recommendations to help sell the unit at a higher price. The detailed market data he provided me kept me faithful in his commitment to make the sale--most brokers wouldn't go through all that work. Eventually, I received an offer on the property, but it was lower than I had wanted. Michael took the initiative to negotiate with the buyer, and we eventually landed on a price everyone was happy with. And when we closed the deal a few days ago, I found out it was the highest sale in my building in the past 12 months. I really have to hand it to Michael for his guidance and expertise. Without him, I might still be looking for a buyer today. If you're selling in River North, this is the guy to trust.
