Claremont, Los Angeles
Working with Fernando Ayala was one of the worst experiences we’ve ever had. From the start, he tried to pressure us into using his preferred lender — whose interest rate was significantly higher than the one we eventually secured on our own. When we discussed the financial stress of our impending mortgage, he made an extremely inappropriate comment to my husband, suggesting that we could rent out rooms in our home to “strippers” to help pay the mortgage. That alone should have been a red flag. Fernando did help us persuade the sellers to agree to certain repairs, but when the final inspection revealed those repairs weren’t actually completed, he still urged us to close anyway. The sellers also switched our gate from automatic to manual without telling us, and instead of advocating for us, Fernando told us to “close anyway because we’d receive compensation later.” It’s now been over a year and a half, and we’ve never received a single follow-up or cent of compensation. Fernando Ayala is not a trustworthy realtor. He’s disrespectful, unprofessional, and prioritizes his own interests over his clients’. I wouldn’t recommend him to anyone — not even to my worst enemy.
