There are a lot of realtors that are very professional and have integrity but not this one. I called him as soon as the house next door went up for sale. I told him that I have been trying to locate the owners and all I have been told is that an agency was taking care of the property. I told him my wall was pushed by a tree or something and was damaged, I also sent him these pictures. He said he would let the agency and trust owners know and said they were really good about taking care of things. When the escrow sign was put up I called him again, he said the people taking care of things were way behind. When it sold he said he hoped the new owner did the right thing and would fix the wall, he said it was on a list. I called the new owners and they were unaware of any problem and there was no list. They showed me their side of the wall, there were bricks in front of the damage so they could not see. Owners said he was a really bad agent. The smoke and monoxide dectors weren't even installed. She called him about the estimate for the wall and he ignored her and my texts. She said the only thing he was interested in was the money he made.

Even though I know a few other realtors I was impressed with what I had heard of Gus's integrity, honesty and willingness to go above and beyond for his clients whether they were Buyers or sellers. One of the other factors in our decision to go with Gus was that before we decided on going with him, he took the time to show us other homes in the area including another one he was selling in the area. This gave us an idea of what was selling in the area and how he could assist us in remodeling our house. His wealth of knowledge of what buyers are looking for in a house was a great benefit when we remodeled and finally decided on a selling price. And it was also a win-win situation for the buyer because they would be receiving a beautifully remodeled home with work performed by A-1 professionals. As a first-time seller I had no idea what to expect. However, I was truly apprehensive about the whole experience. What to do regarding remodeling? How much to do? If any? Who to contact? Which contractors were good to use? Where to look for contractors? What is a good estimate versus an extremely bad estimate? Hidden costs? How long it would take? The list goes on and on. However, with Gus we felt comfortable enough to turn over the reins to Gus and let him run the show. It was the best decision we could have ever made. He kept us informed all along the way and gave us some tremendous suggestions. I will admit a few took vision to see that the outcome would be good but he never steered us wrong. I definitely knew he had no issues with going above and beyond for his clients when I witnessed him watering the lawn. We were truly blessed to have Gus Guzman as our realtor and I would recommend him to others in a heartbeat.
