Berns team Review long overdue but difficult to ignore. I first met my favorite member of the team, Colin McLaren, at an open house. I mentioned the need to rent my mother’s house in Highland Park. We scheduled a meeting at her home the following week when I met Mr. Jason Berns and Colin. They were prompt, professional, bringing rental and sale’s comps. After inspecting her home and offering important needed repair, they followed up with repair assistance. Once home was prepped for rent with complete overhaul, they took excellent pictures and a 3 D video for marketing. Rental property was advertised via multiple, popular, on-line sites. They scheduled an open house where they found a desirable tenant. Tenant’s background was investigated and officially confirmed. After my approval, a one year rental contract was generated by the Berns team. Tenant came in with cashier’s check for one month’s deposit, first month’s rent and rental insurance. A very fair finder’s and service fee was charged by Bern’s team. I chose the option of managing rental beyond that point. In essence, I was most happy choosing a management team that was not virtual like many others I throughly investigated. The Berns team is an actual brick and mortal business where I felt humanly connected with close proximity to property and a responsive team. I am very appreciative of their service.

We are very happy that we chose the Berns as our buyers’ agent. We were moving 30 miles from where we have lived for the last four decades and were not familiar with any of the realtors in Pasadena. What we found out right away is that Laura has an extensive knowledge of the Pasadena area and a great ability to highlight the pluses and minuses of an individual house. She did her research on each house before showing it to us. Even though inventory was low and the market seemed to have lots of buyers, Laura helped us find a great house in a wonderful location. Her negotiating skills were excellent and we were pleased with the results. As with the purchase or sale of any home, issues came up and she was able to deal with them effectively and to our benefit. All along, we appreciated her friendly and warm demeanor, and felt that she truly cared about us.
