I just called this management company to schedule a viewing for a property (that has been vacant for months) but they said they charge $85 just to SEE a property to decide if it's for you. This is an absolute scam. From my (limited) research, I found that in California, charging a fee just to view a rental property is not a recognized or legal “application screening fee” under state law. *** Edit, to address the company’s reply. Maybe it was a bad phone connection but I definitely heard $85. And you proved my point. Call it what you want, but with your “standard screening fee” you’re still charging prospective tenants money *before* you show them the property. That’s the biggest red flag for a real estate scam.

Best decision ever! Mai, Josh and their team are honest, straightforward and knowledgeable.
